Tampa Bay Tamil Academy (TBTA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to offering Tamil language education in the Tampa Bay region. Established with a commitment to teaching the ancient and widely spoken classical language of Tamil, TBTA strives to develop fluency in speaking, reading, and writing among students aged four and above. Embracing the rich cultural heritage and literary traditions of Tamil, TBTA provides a comprehensive curriculum that encompasses various facets of the language, including written, spoken, and artistic forms.
With a vision to enable students to communicate proficiently in Tamil, TBTA invites individuals from all backgrounds and ethnicities to participate in its educational programs. Inspired by the ethos of “கற்க கசடற” (Learn without flaws) from Thirukural, TBTA is committed to imparting knowledge in a profound and meaningful manner. Through a team of more than 35 dedicated volunteer teachers, TBTA offers structured learning opportunities for students to delve into the depth and beauty of Tamil language and literature.
