Established in 1977 by a team of dedicated Chinese-language educators from North Carolina State University, Raleigh Chinese Language School (RCLS) specializes in teaching Mandarin and traditional Chinese characters. Offering 26 language classes at various levels and 12 cultural classes, RCLS caters to around 300 students, spanning from pre-schoolers to adults. The school’s primary goal is to deliver top-notch instruction in Chinese language and culture, fostering cross-cultural understanding and enhancing cultural diversity within the community.
Operating as a non-profit organization, RCLS is devoted to creating an inclusive learning environment that embraces students from diverse backgrounds. Accredited by the Wake County Public School System, RCLS provides students with the opportunity to earn high school credits for their Chinese language studies.
