Detailed Information

For over a century, the International Institute of Minnesota (IIMN) has been dedicated to assisting immigrants and refugees in establishing roots in Minnesota. Our wide range of services includes refugee resettlement, English education, workforce and leadership development, college preparation, and immigration and citizenship assistance. We are proud to be a diverse team of advocates supporting New Americans in rebuilding their lives and pursuing personal and professional goals.

At IIMN, our philosophy is centered on compassion, patience, and sensitivity towards every individual and family we encounter. Acting as a bridge between New Americans and the broader Minnesota community, we nurture their potential to learn, grow, and thrive. With a proven track record of successfully helping New Americans obtain U.S. citizenship, we celebrate their accomplishments and provide a nurturing environment for them to excel in their new lives.

From providing complimentary classes in various languages to aiding with citizenship applications and job placements, IIMN is dedicated to empowering New Americans as they navigate the challenges of starting anew in a foreign land. Our impact goes beyond the classroom as we witness individuals transform from surviving to thriving. As a steadfast support system for New Americans, we continuously enhance our programs to address the changing needs of Minnesota’s immigrant and refugee community.
