Established in May 2011, the Bulgarian Cultural Club | Bulgarian School of Seattle is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving Bulgarian heritage. Our school offers a diverse array of language programs tailored for young Bulgarian speakers, promoting bilingualism and enhancing language skills in speaking, writing, and reading. Providing both online and on-site language instruction for elementary, middle, and high school students, our curriculum covers subjects such as Bulgarian Language & Literature, History & Civilization, Geography, and more.

At the core of our philosophy is empowering students to excel in language proficiency, with opportunities to achieve certifications like the State Seal and Global Seal of Biliteracy. In addition to academic courses, we offer specialized Bulgarian language courses for adults looking to enhance their language skills for business, education, or travel purposes. Our institution prides itself on a communication-based teaching approach, ensuring students attain a high level of language proficiency through innovative methods.

Throughout the academic year, the Bulgarian School of Seattle hosts a variety of events celebrating Bulgarian culture, including Outdoor Learning Events, March 3rd, Tsvetnitsa, May 24th, and International Children’s Day. Our commitment to promoting Bulgarian heritage and language education is reflected in our comprehensive curriculum and dedication to providing valuable on-site and online instruction. By offering a wide range of programs and events, our school aims to cultivate a supportive community that nurtures cultural appreciation and language learning across all age groups.
