Sofia, a Barcelona native born in 1974, pursued her education in the United States before earning a BA in English and Spanish Philology from the University of Barcelona in 1997. Her academic journey continued with a postgraduate degree in Postcolonial Literatures in 1998. Drawing on her extensive experience as an educator in Barcelona, Sofia founded BCNLIP in 2008 and has since served as its director and a dedicated teacher.
