Detailed Information

Association of Miami’s Young Scholars (AMYS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing language education and cultural enrichment for francophone children in Miami Dade and Broward counties. Since 2010, AMYS has been devoted to helping children enhance their minority language skills and fostering a deeper appreciation of French heritage language learning. The organization also strives to promote the study of French language and Francophone culture, recognizing languages as bridges that connect individuals.

Operating as a Florida Not For Profit Corporation with 501(c)(3) status from the Internal Revenue Service, AMYS focuses on delivering educational programs, classes, and summer camps tailored to the linguistic and cultural needs of the local francophone community. By providing a variety of activities conducted entirely in French, AMYS creates a supportive atmosphere where children can improve their language abilities while immersing themselves in the richness of French culture. Privacy is highly valued, and all participants are kept informed about upcoming programs and events.

Through its commitment to language education and cultural exchange, AMYS plays a crucial role in promoting linguistic diversity and fostering connections within the community. By highlighting the significance of language as a means of connection, AMYS aims to empower francophone children to embrace their heritage language and engage with the broader Francophone world. With a strong dedication to educational excellence and cultural appreciation, AMYS remains a prominent advocate for language learning and cross-cultural understanding in South Florida.
