Associazione Interculturale International House – APS operates to support individuals of all ages, both Italian and foreign, fostering intercultural dimensions in the region through language training activities. These activities include courses in various foreign languages such as English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, and Italian courses for foreigners, alongside cultural events and social inclusion projects for immigrants. Established in 1996 in Reggio Calabria, this non-profit organization is dedicated to promoting intercultural dialogue and encounters, with a primary focus on language education.

Since 1998, Associazione Interculturale International House has been actively engaged in aiding immigrants, notably through its involvement in the Pilot Project for the integration of the Kurdish refugee community in Calabria. This initiative, supported by the European Union, marked a significant milestone in fostering hospitality in the region. Collaborating with various public and private entities, the association offers services, activities, and projects aimed at facilitating the integration of foreign individuals, groups, and communities in Calabria. It also functions as a language training center for foreign languages and the teaching of Italian as a second language, in partnership with certification bodies and universities.

As a hub for promoting cultural diversity, Associazione Interculturale International House organizes a range of initiatives such as meetings, seminars, screenings, debates, and opportunities for sharing experiences and best practices. These activities are designed to nurture a culture of hospitality and integration, crucial for building a fair and inclusive society that upholds and celebrates rights and diversity. The association’s dedication to intercultural dialogue is further underscored by its affiliations, accreditations, and participation in the Territorial Council for Immigration of the Prefecture of Reggio Calabria, demonstrating its commitment to fostering a welcoming and inclusive community.
