Steeped in history, the building that now houses Miami Beach Adult & Community Education Center was originally built in 1936 as Miami Beach Senior High School, featuring stunning Mediterranean Revival architecture designed by the renowned architect August Geiger. Notable alumni who once graced the halls of this campus include individuals like Robert Ruben, Kim Hunter, and Barbara Walters. The campus has also left its mark in Hollywood, serving as a filming location for the iconic movie “Porky’s,” bringing international acclaim to the institution.
